A few blocks from our ryokan is a market area. Our first afternoon, we strolled through the market which is a pedestrian mall that runs for quite a number of blocks. Although primarily food items, there also were some other shops. One had an extensive and beautiful selection of knives. Another had an endless supply of chop sticks in every length, variety and price. Below are a lot of pictures, mostly of the food items. There was no end to the fish. Also lots of produce. I didn't see any meat.
